Inaugural Flight: Bannerman Castle

As I mentioned before it’s hard to find a spot to fly drone legally. What I figured out was that flying over bodies of waters is generally more acceptable, as long as they are not privately owned or belong to a municipality.

Bannerman Castle has long been on my list of attractions to visit (by kayak). It’s in the middle of Hudson, making it a perfect candidate for the inaugural flyover. It’s technically a state park, meaning that launching or landing from there is prohibited, but flying over is still perfectly fine. As long as you launch outside of other restricted areas, most importantly West Point.

Some quick video editing and there you go. First take, no mistake.
